Greenhouse Gas Emissions For MSW Landfills – In Summary
During 2009, the Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) developed and proposed
two Greenhouse Gas Emission Rules (GHG) that include requirements for municipal solid
waste landfills – the Mandatory Reporting of GHGs and the Prevention of Significant
Deterioration and Title V GHG Tailoring Rule.
Cindy Turkle, Chair of ISOSWO Member Services Committee, with the help of Marnie Stein, Air Quality Division of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, has developed a summary on the Greenhouse Gas Emission Rules for Iowa MSW Landfills.
