Equipment Operator Boone County Landfill
The Boone County Landfill, owned and operated by Boone County, is accepting applications for a Full-Time Landfill Equipment Operator. Position requires: ability to work in a team-based management environment; experience in operating a wide variety of heavy equipment; ability to obtain a State of Iowa landfill operator certification; ability to obtain an Iowa Commercial Drivers License with air brake and tanker endorsements, and; ability to deal with customers in a positive manner. Position has a starting wage of $15.94/hour plus a competitive benefits package. Foth Infrastructure & Environment, LLC is currently seeking a team-focused, innovative, and results-oriented Environmental Engineer for our Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN location, who is looking for new learning experiences, opportunities for career growth, and a desire to contribute to our clients’ success.

Primary Responsibilities
• Perform site evaluations and research for various environmental projects including landfills
• Direct and perform construction documentation services
• Coordinate field sampling data (soil, groundwater, and air)
• Analyze and interpret data
• Manage groundwater investigations and contractors
• Prepare landfill and air permits
• Follow Foth quality standards and procedures for quality control and assurance
• Develop bid documents and construction cost estimates
• Design and optimize landfill leachate systems, gas management systems, and landfill cells
• Ensure construction quality on landfill and remediation projects
• Prepare regulatory compliance reports for landfill clients
• Provide construction engineering services (submittal reviews, payment application, etc.)
• Identify and proactively communicate opportunities to address client issues, solve problems and improve operations
• Prepare plans and specifications for projects
• Interact effectively with regulatory agencies
• Prepare models and analysis for storm water, leachate, landfill gas, and recirculation systems

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience preparing technical reports
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) license

Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Experience working in the environmental consulting industry
• 40-hour Hazwoper Certification
• Previous experience with:
• Multi-discipline project management
• Construction design involving earthwork, storm water, or geosynthetics

Lyon County Environmental Administrator
Lyon County is accepting applications for a full time Environmental Administrator. The purpose of this position is to develop, coordinate and implement the programs of the Lyon County Environmental Department. Oversight and departmental administration includes, but not limited to: Solid Waste, Recycling, Hazardous Waste programs and County Parks development. Responsible for supervising staff; directing activities; developing and administering budgets; developing and coordinating programs; maintaining records; and performing additional tasks as assigned by the County Administrator. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Public or Business Administration, Natural Resources Management, Environmental Studies, Environmental Engineering, or related field required, with a minimum of five years’ experience in environmental management; or any equivalent combination of education or training. Preferred Qualification: Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration field, 3-5 years of staff management, supervision, or leadership skills. Salary range is $61,381.49 - $85,934.68 DOE.
